Does your dog scarf down their meals???
Interactive toys and slow feeders are an excellent way to keep your dog busy, develop problem solving skills, increase their confidence and slow their eating down!
It also encourage your dog to focus on one task, while other things are going on around them. While they are enjoying their tasty meal they are also practicing their ability to concentrate, which will amplify their ability to focus on you around distractions.
Popping the slow feeders into the freezer is another way to make meal time more challenging.
Some of my dogs favourite snacks are:
Canned pumpkin
Dried sardines
Quail eggs
Apple sauce
Strawberries
Mashed yams or potatoes
Cucumber green peas
Chicken feet
Come on by the training centre or look on the website for available interactive toys or slow feeder options.
