Scent Detection Level 1

Service Description

Duration: 1 hour per week for 4 weeks ***PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A GROUP CLASS with multiple dogs working in the same space*** For dogs that need their own space please connect for a scent work private lesson by email bestpawdogtraining@gmail.com The sport of scent detection teaches your dog to find a specific target odour and then tell you where it is. All dogs are born knowing how to find a scent and follow it. This means that any breed of dog can play Scent Detection games! No previous training of any kind is needed to get involved in this sport and it is great for young and old dogs as well as dogs with disabilities. This course introduces your dog to a specific target odour that he learns to hunt for because indicating that he has found it will bring reward. We use a series of foundation games that build on each other to increase the level of challenge gradually and create a dog that searches confidently and accurately. Using these games, you and your dog can carry on after the class finishes to have endless fun! Cancellation policy: Full Refund up to 7 days before the start of class Between 7 days and 48 hours: full credit to apply to future classes or Private sessions Less than 48 hours notice: we will most likely not be able to fill your reserved class spot and a cancellation fee of $125 will apply. Once the class has started there is no refund or credit option available. If you are not sure if your dog is suitable for a group class, please ask before booking! We highly recommend a private lesson to assess suitability and answer any questions you may have as well as to bridge any gaps if you have missed a group session.

Cancelation Policy

Private Lessons: A full refund or credit is available for cancellations a minimum of 48 hours in advance. A 50% credit towards a rebooking is available for cancellations between 48 and 24 hours. As we schedule and arrange our daily bookings to accommodate our clients, and we can not fill any last-minute cancellations, any cancellations of less than 24 hours will be billed the full fee.
